Lawyers in the firm are licensed for the practice of law by several state jurisdictions including the Supreme Court of the State of Nebraska and Minnesota. The firm's principle offices are located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lawyers and non-attorney advocates are admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, an Article One court sitting in Washington D.C. Lawyers and non-attorney advocates are also admitted to practice by the Department of Veterans Affairs which include the Regional Offices and the Board of Veterans Appeals.
Lawyers are also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
The firm provides services to veterans solely by and through the operation of federal law. Specifically, the unique statutes and regulations which create the federal system of disability compensation benefits for veterans of the United States military. The firm is compromised of persons admitted to such practice by and through the federal statutes, VA regulations and the rules of the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
While lawyers in the firm have been admitted pro haec vice in the state and federal courts of 27 sister states for issues apart from the representation of veterans disability claims, with respect to the legal services provided by the firm to veterans seeking disability compensation benefits incident to their military service, lawyers do not apply the laws of any sister state, interpret them, or give any counsel with respect to such laws in the representation of any veteran. The only laws which are applied, interpreted and counsel is given on is the federal laws incident to the veterans' disability compensation practice described above.
If, as and when the highly unlikely issue of a sister state's law becomes involved in a case, legal counsel from that jurisdiction is relied upon to handle any and all matters related to and incident to such laws.
No jurisdiction or authorized entity has promulgated rules or regulations related to board certification with respect to the practice of VA Disability Compensation law.
